The governing body of ROM-Rijnmond is its Executive Council, which meets four times a year and includes representatives from all the signatories to our covenant. It is chaired by the Rotterdam city alderman with responsibility for port matters.
The Executive Council is supported by a part-time Director, who acts as the ambassador of ROM-Rijnmond. The Director is assisted by a small staff who carry out the organisation's day-to-day activities. This team co-ordinates the projects being carried out under the ROM-Rijnmond banner. Completing those projects as quickly and effectively as possible is one of their main aims. They are also responsible for ROM-Rijnmond's communication activities. The organisation's office is located at the World Port Centre in the Kop van Zuid in Rotterdam.
